Asheville Women's Counseling 138 E. Chestnut Street, 28801 Lisa Harris, LCSW and EFT Therapist Cell: 828-216-3994 Lisa@AshevilleWomensCounseling.com
Hello. If you are here, you are looking for something different to ease whatever suffering you're going through. You’re cried out, yelled out, or worn out…and just want a real and lasting change.
As an experienced therapist, I care about what you're going through. My treatment method is simple: I have seen amazing results with the intervention I use, which is called EFT. EFT stands for Emotional Freedom Technique, and it is a powerful transformation tool that is essentially “acupressure for the emotions."My name is Lisa Harris, and Asheville Women's Counseling is my clinical social work practice. With EFT I guide the client to tap on a circuit of acupressure points while focusing on the core issue. This tapping procedure is also a soothing body/mindfulness practice that allows you to bring awareness to where the pain is located in your body. Using EFT has helped many of my clients in just one session, and with complex trauma and abuse symptoms in as little as 6-8 weeks.I can say that for 90% of the clients who have tried it, they are satisfied that EFT helped them find relief when no other counseling skill could.
My specialty areas are trauma - physical, sexual, relationship violence, and events such as car accidents or violent assaults, grief and loss (I have had many personal losses and been the grief counselor for several hospice agencies), relationship skill building (if you want to work on what you problems you personally are bringing to the relationship then I can help you and your spouse/partner), anxiety/depression, and addiction and food cravings (EFT helps all these issues but if you think there is no help for your love of _____ (insert chemical substance or food item here), call me and be amazed. Find out more about me and my treatment areas at Meet Lisa.
Read Counseling FAQ's and What is EFT? to see if the way I provide brief, holistic, whole-person therapy may fit for you.I also have a blog here where you can find articles related to promoting good mental health, the effective use of EFT, Grief and Loss articles as well as news and events, and all things to help you wherever you are!
